Associate Attorney – Family Law
About The Position
The Associate Attorney – Family Law will lead high-impact Texas family law cases from intake through final decree, with support from the firm’s marketing and administrative teams. The role focuses on contested divorces, complex SAPCR cases, protective orders, courtroom representation, depositions, mediations, and first-chair trials. The attorney will counsel clients through challenging circumstances and provide results-driven, compassionate representation. The firm describes the position as offering a dedicated paralegal and billing coordinator, along with an earned hybrid option.
Requirements
- Valid Texas bar license held for at least 2 years.
- At least 2 years of dedicated Texas family law litigation experience.
- Courtroom confidence and ability to manage a high-impact docket under pressure.
- Highly organized, with experience in family law hearings and estate or guardianship proceedings.
- Experience with initial consultations and drafting pleadings and discovery.
- Proficiency in Clio, TxDoc, Google Suite, and modern e-filing systems.
Responsibilities
- Lead contested divorces, complex SAPCR cases, and protective orders.
- Represent clients in Harris County and surrounding courts.
- Conduct depositions, mediations, and first-chair trials using knowledge of the Texas Family Code.
- Provide clients with results-driven, compassionate counsel.
- Manage family law hearings and estate and guardianship proceedings.
- Handle litigation tasks from initial consultations through drafting pleadings and discovery.
