About The Position

Goranson Bain Ausley is seeking an Associate Attorney to join its Granbury office. The firm exclusively practices family law and has 58 attorneys across locations in Austin, Dallas, Fort Worth, Granbury, Midland, Plano, and San Antonio. The Associate Attorney will work closely with the Granbury team to support clients in a manner consistent with the firm’s core values and vision. The role involves significant client contact, and the attorney should be comfortable managing their own docket. The firm provides a formal mentorship program with one-on-one guidance in case management, practice management, and business development. Compensation includes a quarterly bonus structure, medical, dental, and vision coverage, 401(k) contributions, and holidays, including a full week off from December 25 through January 1.

Requirements

• Licensed to practice in Texas.
• At least 1–4+ years of Texas family law experience.
• Confidence in the courtroom.
• Experience in negotiation and mediation.
• Solid understanding of the Texas Family Code and the Texas Rules of Civil Procedure.
• Solution-oriented common sense.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills and superior attention to detail.
• Excellent prioritization, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
• Ability to learn and use new technology to meet the changing demands of the legal marketplace.
• Creativity, flexibility, and adaptability in a fast-paced work environment.
• Comfort managing an independent docket.

Responsibilities
