About The Position
Halliam PLLC is seeking an associate attorney with a passion for real estate financing transactions, representing both lenders and borrowers. The ideal candidate is an energetic and hard-working individual capable of managing high-stakes, complex financing transactions under tight deadlines. This role requires at least 2 years of experience in commercial real estate finance, including loan originations, refinancings, mezzanine loans, and similar transactions. The position is based in the firm's Boca Raton, Florida office. Halliam PLLC is a boutique law firm specializing in real estate debt origination and loan work, serving as a captive law firm for Kayne Anderson Real Estate. Kayne Anderson Real Estate manages $22 billion in assets and is part of Kayne Anderson, a $43 billion alternative investment management firm with extensive experience in real estate, credit, infrastructure, and energy sectors.
Requirements
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from a well-recognized and accredited law school.
- Admission to a state bar and in good standing.
- 2-5 years of experience in real estate finance with an AM Law 100 firm.
- Understanding of real estate financing transactions and a strong desire to learn.
- Experience with a variety of complex commercial real estate finance transactions, including lender side and borrower side representations.
- Ability to work in small teams and independently.
- Analytical, creative, and innovative approach to solving problems.
- Proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
