About The Position

We are seeking an Associate Attorney with litigation experience to join a growing legal team focused on insurance defense and civil litigation matters. This role offers the opportunity to manage cases across a variety of litigation matters, including personal injury, premises liability, and automobile liability claims, while working closely with experienced legal professionals in a collaborative environment. The Associate Attorney will manage litigation matters from pre-suit through resolution, including motion practice, discovery, hearings, depositions, mediations, and settlement negotiations. This position is ideal for an attorney who thrives in a fast-paced litigation environment and is looking to grow within a respected defense practice.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
  • Active Georgia Bar membership (or ability to obtain promptly)
  • 3–5 years of litigation experience
  • Strong legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills
  • Ability to manage multiple active matters and deadlines
  • Strong communication and client relationship management skills

Responsibilities

  • Manage all phases of pre-litigation and litigation matters
  • Handle insurance defense and civil litigation cases from intake through resolution
  • Maintain proactive communication with clients and insurers regarding case status and strategy
  • Draft and review pleadings, motions, and legal correspondence
  • Conduct legal research and develop strategic recommendations
  • Prepare discovery responses and manage document production
  • Conduct hearings, depositions, and mediations
  • Negotiate settlements and support resolution strategy
  • Prepare clients and witnesses for litigation proceedings
  • Provide legal analysis and case strategy recommendations
  • Collaborate with partners and legal staff to ensure efficient case management
  • Maintain accurate billing, timekeeping, and administrative records
