About The Position

O'Hagan Meyer is seeking a litigation associate to join its Charlotte office. This is an excellent opportunity for associates to provide legal service within a sophisticated practice and who are seeking to assume a significant role in all aspects of the complex litigation process. An ideal attorney will have at least 3-4 years of experience with any of the following: employment litigation, general liability, professional liability, products liability, real estate / property, HOA/Condo association and/or class actions. Relevant judicial clerkship experience will be credited toward the required years of experience. O’Hagan Meyer is an Equal Opportunity Employer. Requirements

• Admission to the state bar of North Carolina
• Ability to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues
• Proactive, team-oriented mindset with a commitment to providing exceptional client service

Nice To Haves

• Experience with both state and federal courts
• Experience with state and federal administrative agencies
• Admission to South Carolina and/or Virginia bar

Responsibilities

• Legal research
• Drafting of pleadings, motions, and other documents
• Taking and defending depositions
• Representing clients in mediation
• Drafting and answering discovery requests
• Trial preparation
• Trial assistance
