About The Position

We are seeking a highly motivated associate attorney with 5+ years of experience to join our Real Estate practice groups. This role focuses on commercial real estate transactions, leasing, acquisitions and dispositions, and corporate finance, with a particular emphasis on representing business owners, investors, sponsors, developers, and franchise operators. The ideal candidate will have experience handling sophisticated transactions from drafting through closing and will be comfortable working in a fast-paced, client-facing environment.

Requirements

  • J.D. from an accredited law school and strong academic credentials
  • Admission to practice in Connecticut (required); admission in New York and/or New Jersey is a plus.
  • Must be based in or willing to commute to the Greenwich, CT area.
  • 5+ years of experience in commercial real estate and corporate transactions.
  • Experience with commercial leasing, acquisitions and dispositions, and financing transactions.
  • Strong drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple matters and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and client communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with franchise-related transactions or franchise finance is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Draft, review, and negotiate commercial real estate agreements, including purchase and sale agreements, leases, and related transaction documents.
  • Manage commercial real estate acquisitions and dispositions from initial structuring through closing.
  • Assist in structuring and negotiating corporate finance transactions, including loan documentation and related agreements.
  • Represent borrowers and lenders in financing transactions, including those involving franchise businesses.
  • Conduct due diligence, including title and survey review, and coordinate with lenders, title companies, and opposing counsel.
  • Provide strategic guidance to clients on transactional matters and business objectives.
  • Collaborate with partners and senior attorneys on complex matters while managing day-to-day responsibilities independently.
