About The Position

Bremer Whyte Brown & O’Meara, LLP is seeking a talented Litigation Associate to join their award-winning team. This mid-sized law firm, recognized for its U.S. News – Best Lawyers® 'Best Law Firms' rankings, offers an opportunity to gain immediate hands-on experience in various litigation matters including wrongful death, premises liability, personal injury, construction, breach of contract/business disputes, and more. The role involves handling all aspects of cases from inception to resolution, including legal strategy, research, drafting pleadings and motions, managing discovery, arguing motions, attending mediations, and trial. Associates will work with a diverse range of clients and collaborate closely with team members, with opportunities for mentorship from experienced partners.

Requirements

  • 0 - 2+ years of civil litigation experience, preferably handling matters involving general liability, construction, personal/catastrophic injury, contracts/business, and/or commercial disputes.
  • Comprehensive experience preparing pleadings, propounding and responding to discovery, drafting motions and legal briefs.
  • Exceptional communication and advocacy skills.
  • Client-focused mindset.
  • Passion for achieving successful outcomes.
  • Desire and/or ability to manage a caseload independently, while also working collaboratively with team members.
  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Current admission to the Colorado State Bar is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience taking and defending depositions.
  • Experience arguing motions.
  • Trial and arbitration experience is a plus.

Responsibilities
