About The Position

Represent institutional mortgage lenders and servicers in bankruptcy matters with a focus on protecting and enforcing secured-creditor rights in Chapters 7, 13, and 11. Provide end-to-end legal strategy across the lifecycle of a bankruptcy case, including proof of claim, motions for relief from stay, plan review and objection, loan modification and loss-mitigation oversight, and post-petition compliance. Advise clients on complex bankruptcy, servicing, and investor-guideline issues to ensure regulatory compliance, minimize financial risk, and maximize recoveries while maintaining borrower-facing and court-facing credibility.

Requirements

2-3 years of experience working as an Attorney in the Bankruptcy arena.
At least 1 year representing creditors in Nevada Bankruptcy Courts.
In good standing and an active member of the Bar.
Strong communication and writing skills.
Knowledge of federal, state, and local laws and rules.
Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.
Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office products and generally at ease with utilizing technology.
Must possess superior organizational skills.
Possess an analytical thought process and uses critical thinking skills.
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States now and in the future.

Responsibilities

Protecting and enforcing secured-creditor rights in Chapters 7, 13, and 11.

Attending hearings and mediations throughout the State of Nevada.
Managing multiple responsibilities and reprioritizing to effectively manage a high case volume in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.
Analyzing case law and providing recommendations.
Working a case file from start to finish.
Identifying and resolving problems in a timely manner.
Gathering and analyzing information skillfully.
Examining ways to improve and promote quality.
