About The Position

As an Associate Analyst – Retail Pricing & Analytics, you will play a key role in executing daily fuel pricing decisions across a large retail network. You will analyze market and competitive data, evaluate sales and margin performance, and support pricing strategies that maximize profitability. This role also involves building analytical tools, improving pricing execution processes, and collaborating cross‑functionally with trading, supply, operations, and IT teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Administration, Marketing, or a related field
  • High level of individual initiative and motivation, with strong attention to detail and quality of work.
  • Demonstrated business and financial acumen with strong analytical and critical‑thinking skills; able to apply sound judgment in daily pricing decisions.
  • Strong proficiency in MS Excel, with the ability to build analytical tools and models; experience with PowerPoint for executive‑level communication.
  • Desire to enhance retail pricing execution through the development of scalable, re‑usable processes and data‑driven tools that improve efficiency, accuracy, and insight.
  • Strong team orientation with the ability to collaborate cross‑functionally while working independently on daily deliverables and special initiatives.
  • Positive, “will do” attitude when faced with ambiguity, time‑sensitive decisions, and changing market conditions.
  • 0–2 years of relevant experience demonstrating organizational, analytical, and communication skills, increasing responsibility, and measurable business impact.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate daily fuel pricing across retail gas stations by collecting market and field information, determining prices, and communicating pricing decisions accurately and on time.
  • Engage a wide variety of stakeholders including station operators, operations management, trading and supply teams, pricing execution, performance optimization, and IT on day‑to‑day execution, training, integration, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Prepare and distribute reports and statistical analyses on pricing activity, market conditions, and performance outcomes.
  • Support the evolution of retail pricing execution capabilities.
  • Develop and implement analytical tools, models, and repeatable processes to improve pricing execution (e.g., data collection, price determination, communication) and performance optimization (e.g., data management, forecasting, and analysis).
  • Identify opportunities to enhance existing pricing strategies by analyzing movements in volume, sales, and margins across markets, monitoring competitor activity, and measuring pricing impacts across the retail network.
  • Support in‑depth analyses and special projects related to pricing strategy, profitability optimization, and market competitiveness.
