About The Position

The Associate AD for Sports Medicine/Assistant Head Athletic Trainer provides leadership in college athletics, ensuring the healthcare and safety of student-athletes. This role involves clinical expertise and administrative oversight of athletic trainers, in collaboration with team physicians, coaches, and other healthcare professionals. Responsibilities include maintaining records, providing wellness information, and rehabilitation training.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree
Two Years’ Experience in collegiate athletics
Employment experience or eligible to obtain Athletic Training licensure from the State of North Carolina.
CPR/AED Certification - Healthcare Provider or equivalent
NATABOC Certification
Must have a valid Driver's License
Must be able to work nights, weekends and travel.
Experience coordinating sports medicine services at NCAA Division 2 level.
Experience that demonstrates the ability to effectively lead and manage a collective group of healthcare professionals from various fields and backgrounds.
Ability to adjust.
Good communication and interpersonal skills
