The Associate Actuary or Actuary reports to the Actuary of Capital Management & Deal Team and will be responsible for leading and collaborating on multiple transactions. This role supports strategic financial initiatives by developing, validating, and interpreting actuarial models used to evaluate capital deployment, reinsurance transactions, and other corporate financing solutions. This role partners closely with MCOE, Finance, Pricing and senior actuarial leadership to provide analytical insights that optimize the company’s capital position and drive informed decision-making. The successful candidate will contribute to the pricing and structuring of reinsurance deals, assess the capital impact of strategic transactions, and help manage NLG’s economic, regulatory capital frameworks. This position requires strong technical modeling ability, sound actuarial judgment, and the ability to communicate complex results to both actuarial and non-actuarial audiences. This position currently offers an onsite hybrid work schedule, with the expectation that you are in the office four (4) days per week during onsite core days. Our current onsite core days are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. The work schedule type and core days are subject to change with advance notification and manager discretion. Can be based on Vermont or Dallas Campus.
