About The Position

This position supports the continual improvement of day-to-day operations, with a focus on meeting deadlines and assisting with financial closing and reporting. The successful candidate has a strong knowledge of accounting principles, interpersonal skills, initiative, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively. The role may involve interaction with Tyson team members across the organization and with vendors and customers.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, or experience commensurate with knowledge typically acquired through a four-year degree.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Self-starter able to work independently or in a team environment, use good judgment to complete tasks, set priorities, and coordinate with others.
• Standard computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).

Nice To Haves

• At least six months of work experience; preferred but not required.
• SAP experience.

Responsibilities

• Follow up on collections for aged accounts.
• Assist with weekly and monthly close processes.
• Perform balance sheet account reconciliations.
• Amortize prepaid expenses.
• Manage and retain documents.
• Assist with ad hoc management reports and projects as they arise.
