About The Position

The Associate Account Manager is an entry-level role into account management, responsible for building and maintaining long-term relationships with Bio-Techne Diagnostics customers. Working collaboratively with cross-functional teams on product delivery and new product introductions, this role supports revenue and profitability goals for assigned accounts through effective negotiation and selling skills, while developing the knowledge and experience needed to grow into broader account management responsibilities.

  • Proficient presentation and storytelling skills, with a consultative, value-based approach to selling.

  • Clear oral and written communication skills across all levels of an organization and with customers.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Salesforce.com, plus the ability to learn proprietary ERP systems (e.g., Microsoft AX or Macola).
  • Ability to communicate effectively with a global customer base.
  • Ability to manage sensitive and proprietary information with discretion and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

  • Manage revenue, budgets, profitability, and project schedules for assigned accounts, supporting overall program success.
  • Serve as a point of contact for assigned accounts, building customer relationships and coordinating with Customer Service, Commercial Leadership, and Business Development.
  • Resolve customer issues in a timely manner and communicate client requirements and timelines between customers and internal teams.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, collaborating on costing and proposals to help close new business.
  • Monitor market and competitive trends to help recommend pricing strategies that support profitability and growth.
  • Support the contract sign-off and renewal process, ensuring activities align with contractual obligations.
  • Prepare and present status reports and customer forecasts to support production planning and internal account reviews.
  • Support the development of strategic account plans, including competitive analysis and sales forecasts.
  • Coordinate and attend trade shows as needed to ensure adequate coverage.
  • Follow all company policies, SOPs, quality, safety, and regulatory requirements; perform other duties as assigned.
