About The Position

The Commercial Assistant Account Manager provides support to the Commercial Lines Account Manager and Producer/Account Executive in obtaining, maintaining, expanding, and servicing accounts. This role involves preparing renewal documents, assisting with submissions to the marketing department or incumbent carriers, and processing various insurance-related tasks such as endorsements, audits, and issuing binders and certificates. The position also requires staying updated on industry changes and trends through participation in seminars and classes. Additionally, the role involves performing other assigned duties.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare the Renewal Update document for review by the Account Manager and release to Producer.
  • Assist the Account Manager in preparing submissions for the Marketing Department or incumbent carrier.
  • Follow up with incumbent carriers to obtain renewal quotes in a timely fashion.
  • Prepare the renewal proposal for review by the Account Manager before release to the Producer and/or Client.
  • Perform Renewal Procedures after the Account Manager has requested renewal coverage to be bound.
  • Perform the entire renewal process for accounts generating less than $6,000 revenue with assistance and guidance from the Account Manager.
  • Update direct bill screens.
  • Check policies, transmit them to the client, and update AMS/Image Right.
  • Maintain current open Tasks and follow up on them.
  • Prepare Accord Change Requests, transmit changes to insurance carriers, and update AMS/Image Right.
  • Process endorsements: review, invoice, transmit.
  • Process final audits: review, invoice, transmit.
  • Process incoming mail as requested by the Account Manager.
  • Issue Binders.
  • Issue Auto ID Cards.
  • Issue standard Certificates of Insurance.
  • Order loss runs.
  • Obtain Premium Finance Agreement quotes and prepare the document for signature.
  • Keep abreast of industry changes and trends.
  • Participate in seminars and classes for knowledge and skill development.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
