About The Position

This is an entry level position within the Account Analyst job family, with a goal of acquiring a basic understanding of risk evaluation on new and renewal business. The role involves managing general liability, umbrella and excess insurance policies, and proficiently using AI tools. The analyst will gather, organize, and enter information into pricing models, performing initial analysis of exposure, loss, and coverage for the underwriter. They will support the underwriter and agent/broker with responsive service by managing the workflow from clearance through policy issuance and file documentation, and coordinating service requests in a timely manner. The role also includes deconstructing submissions, identifying, gathering, and entering information into systems, pricing tools, and models, flagging referral triggers, and initiating/managing requests to internal service providers. Additionally, the analyst will gather, analyze, and ensure the accuracy of pricing and proposal information used by the underwriter for coverage review, hazard analysis, pricing strategy, and proposal. They will provide customer service to brokers and agents, answer questions, and resolve problems related to policy transactions, billing, and service needs. Post-sale account management workflow, including initiation of billing, policy issuance, acquisition of account agreements, and file documentation, will be executed. Pre-renewal communications via conditional/non-renewal notice draft will be initiated when necessary. The analyst will also support the underwriter with mid-term account reviews/stewardship, ongoing service, service planning, and endorsements.

Responsibilities

  • Acquire a basic understanding of risk evaluation on new and renewal business.
  • Be proficient with AI tools and manage general liability, umbrella and excess insurance policies.
