About The Position

This role involves collecting, abstracting, and reporting on data from patient medical records. The Associate Abstractor will identify cases diagnosed and/or treated by referencing primary and secondary sources of information, including the patient’s medical/treatment record, pathology reports, and diagnostic indices. The position requires abstracting reportable registry data and coordinating long-term follow-up data collection and input for registry patients. Additionally, the role involves assigning medical record codes and entering them into the registry database according to established protocol, submitting registry data in compliance with regulatory requirements and timeframes, and reviewing registry data for completeness and accuracy, performing follow-up using additional data sources as necessary.

Requirements

High School diploma equivalency and 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Bachelor's degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
Ability to work independently in a remote setting.

Nice To Haves

Previous healthcare experience highly preferred.
