About The Position

Southern New Hampshire University (SNHU) is seeking a part-time Assistant Women's Track & Field Coach, specializing in jumps. This role operates under the general direction of the Director of Cross Country/Head Track & Field Coach and involves assisting with the responsibilities of the NCAA D-II Women's Track & Field program. The coach will ensure compliance with NCAA, NE10, and SNHU policies and regulations, and will work collaboratively with the head coach on program operations, practices, and other duties.

Requirements

• 1+ years coaching and/or personal athletic experience in the vertical/horizontal jumps
• Bachelor's degree or 3+ years of coaching experience in the vertical/horizontal jumps
• Strong commitment to the safety and welfare of student-athletes
• Ability to work weekdays, weekends, and some evenings
• Valid driver's license and ability to transport student athletes

Responsibilities

• Assist in recruiting prospective student-athletes in compliance with NCAA and University policies and procedures.
• Collaborate and take direction with current coaching staff.
• Maintain positive working relationships with coaching staff and student-athletes.
• Foster a team culture focused on academic and athletic success.
• Assist the head coach in planning and implementation of practice, competitions, travel, and other administrative duties.
• Conduct and supervise athletically related activities for specific training groups when assigned by the head coach.
• Maintain knowledge and ensure compliance with NCAA, conference, and institutional rules and regulations.
