About The Position

The Assistant Warden directs, administers, and coordinates facility management in operations and/or programs, personally or through subordinate managerial staff, under the oversight and direction of the Warden. The Assistant Warden acts with full authority when the Warden is absent.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university; preferably in Social or Behavioral Science or a related field.
• Six years of correctional work experience, including two years at the Chief of Security or Chief of Unit Management level, or five years as a CoreCivic department head or equivalent.
• Additional qualifying full-time correctional supervisory experience may substitute for the required education on a year-for-year basis.
• Comprehensive understanding of correctional facility management practices and principles, applicable corrections laws, rules and regulations, and principles and practices of supervision and training.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.

• Act with full authority in the absence of the Warden.
