About The Position

Monticello High School is seeking an Assistant Volleyball Coach. The role involves developing and training student-athletes, organizing practice schedules, and emphasizing teamwork and good sportsmanship. The position requires knowledge of VHSL rules and regulations, the ability to foster positive relationships with student-athletes, parents, and the community, and extensive knowledge of volleyball fundamentals. This is a part-time, temporary position with a coaching stipend available.

Requirements

Knowledge of VHSL rules and regulations.
Ability to develop and train AA student-athletes.
Personal skills that reflect positive relations with high school student-athletes, parents and the community.
Extensive knowledge of the principles of individual and team fundamentals of the listed sports.
Ability to organize and prepare practice schedules.
Ability to develop a solid discipline that emphasizes team work and good sportsmanship.
Previous coaching experience is required.
After school and weekend hours.

Nice To Haves

Volleyball coaching/playing experience helpful.
Hold or be eligible for a Virginia teaching license.
