About The Position

Monticello High School is seeking an Assistant Girls Tennis Coach. The role involves developing and training student-athletes, fostering positive relationships with students, parents, and the community, and organizing practice schedules. The coach will emphasize teamwork and good sportsmanship, adhering to VHSL rules and regulations. Duties include instruction, travel to matches, and regular contact with coaches, administrators, parents, and the media. This is a part-time, temporary position.

Requirements

Knowledge of VHSL rules and regulations.
Ability to develop and train AA student-athletes.
Personal skills that reflect positive relations with high school student-athletes, parents and the community.
Extensive knowledge of the principles of individual and team fundamentals of the listed sports.
Ability to organize and prepare practice schedules.
Ability to develop a solid discipline that emphasizes team work and good sportsmanship.
Previous coaching experience is required.
Disclosure of prior convictions of law other than minor traffic violations or juvenile offenses.

Nice To Haves

Hold or be eligible for a Virginia teaching license.
Tennis coaching/playing experience.
