About The Position
Anastasia Beverly Hills is seeking an organized, detail-oriented Assistant Video Editor to join its in-house production team and help shape the visual voice of the brand. The role supports post-production by organizing footage, creating selects and rough cuts, and preparing timelines for final delivery. The Assistant Video Editor works closely with lead editors and social media managers to maintain a seamless workflow. The position is highly collaborative and calls for a strong sense of pacing, beauty aesthetics, and changing digital trends. The position is based in Mar Vista/Los Angeles, California, and requires working in the office three days per week. The starting hourly rate is $30.00–$35.00 in the selected city. Requirements
- 1–2 years of hands-on video editing or post-production experience; internships and freelance work are welcome.
- Deep working knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro, including project organization, proxy workflows, and shortcut-driven editing.
- Deep understanding of video codecs, file formats, frame rates, aspect ratios, and post-production workflows.
- Excellent organizational skills with project directories, naming conventions, and version control.
- A strong visual eye for color, makeup application, skin tones, and overall beauty trends.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet tight deadlines.
Nice To Haves
- Familiarity with other Adobe Creative Cloud applications, specifically After Effects.
- Basic understanding of color correction and audio mixing.
- Prior experience editing content for retail, fashion, lifestyle, or cosmetics brands.
Responsibilities
- Ingest, synchronize, and organize raw footage; synchronize audio; generate proxies; and manage post-production assets across storage systems.
- Build initial sequences, rough cuts, and assembly edits for marketing campaigns, product launches, and social media channels.
- Reformat and optimize master edits for platform specifications, including TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube, and digital ads.
- Prepare final project files, clean timelines, organize assets, and export deliverables for color grading, sound design, and localization.
- Work with creative directors and lead editors to apply feedback systematically and maintain a consistent brand aesthetic.
