About The Position

The Business Technology & Analytics Team (BT&A) supports the Firm through driving collaboration and advancement in business-centric technology, enabling the Firm to leverage data and technology assets for insights and day-to-day decision-making. This role will assist in the review and maintenance of portfolio company financial information, projects and provide support to end users with data quality initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Finance or Accounting
  • 7+ years of relevant work experience
  • Knowledge and understanding of financial statements including income statements, balance sheets and cash flow statements
  • Strong working knowledge of Excel
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office and associated enterprise tools (e.g., Word, SharePoint, PowerBI)
  • Extreme attention to detail
  • Ability to take initiative and work independently while demonstrating strong teamwork
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, manage time and priorities under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively leverage AI tools in day-to-day work, with strong critical thinking to assess accuracy, limitations and appropriate use of AI generated outputs

Nice To Haves

  • Prior exposure to private credit, leveraged finance or asset management a plus
  • Experience with portfolio monitoring systems (e.g., Allvue, 73 Strings, Chronograph)

Responsibilities

  • Assisting in monitoring and analyzing a diverse portfolio of debt and equity financings
  • Monitoring data stewardship processes for data comprehensiveness, quality and ensuring standards are being adhered to
  • Proactively identifying opportunities for improvement throughout the full business process life cycle
  • Proactively monitoring report availability and accuracy, partnering with counterparts in Technology Solutions to resolve issues and ensure consistent and successful delivery of data requests and reports
  • Ensuring consistency and successful use of reporting systems utilized by the Firm
  • Identifying key systems used by the Firm to determine where relevant data is housed
  • Shepherding new investor data needs through the Data Governance process to draft and achieve approval of definitions, data owners / stewards and source systems
  • Defining associated data quality standards and monitoring procedures
  • Communicating with investment professionals to confirm details around borrower financial statements and cash flow activity
  • Liaising with Investor Reporting and Data Analytics Teams on ad hoc data requests and ongoing reporting projects
  • Conducting detailed analyses on large data sets with Microsoft Excel, using advanced functions
  • Validating key terms against investment team memos, credit agreements, amendments and other related documents
