About The Position

The key purpose of this position is to provide strategic leadership and oversight of Purdue Federal's Project Management Office by ensuring enterprise initiatives are prioritized, governed, resourced, and successfully delivered in alignment with organizational goals. This position works closely with executive leadership, business units, Information Technology, and external vendors to drive project execution, support organizational change, improve operational effectiveness, and provide visibility into enterprise project performance and strategic outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Managing the enterprise project portfolio and PMO governance process, including translating organizational strategy into project priorities, leading the project intake, evaluation, prioritization, and governance processes, administering and improving Purdue Federal's project prioritization model, monitoring project and portfolio health, providing executive leadership with recommendations and reporting, and leading complex, cross-functional initiatives.
  • Leading and developing PMO team members by providing leadership, coaching, mentoring, and professional development, establishing performance expectations, supporting employee growth, managing team workload and capacity planning, and building a collaborative team culture.
  • Supporting cross-functional collaboration and organizational change initiatives by partnering with leadership, business units, IT, and vendors, facilitating communication and stakeholder engagement, establishing clear accountability and decision-making processes, and supporting organizational change management efforts.
  • Overseeing PMO operations, resource planning, and reporting, including staffing, project resource allocation, workload balancing, capacity planning, collaborating with Finance, IT, and business leaders on project funding and resource requirements, managing PMO tools and processes, and developing executive dashboards and reports.
  • Ensuring continuous improvement, risk management, and portfolio performance by evaluating project and portfolio performance, identifying risks and obstacles, developing mitigation strategies, identifying opportunities for process improvement, leveraging technology platforms, and documenting lessons learned.
  • Maintaining knowledge of project management, portfolio management, organizational change management, and industry best practices, participating in training and professional development, and supporting Purdue Federal's mission, vision, values, and strategic priorities.
