Assistant Varsity Ice Hockey Coach
About The Position
This role involves assisting the head coach in managing the varsity ice hockey team. Responsibilities include planning and conducting practices and games, organizing and maintaining team equipment, and fostering a positive team environment. The position requires effective communication with student-athletes, families, and athletic department staff. The season runs from November 9, 2026, to February 15, 2027. Practices are typically held on Mondays and Wednesdays at Wheaton Ice Rink, with some additional ice time at Cabin John. Games are scheduled Monday through Friday at various locations.
Requirements
- Ability to communicate effectively with students, teachers, coaches, and community
- Experience coaching/participating in ice hockey at the high school or collegiate level
- Knowledge of applicable league rules
- Excellent organizational and motivational skills
Nice To Haves
