About The Position

United Risk is a global property and casualty insurance underwriting and distribution platform with worldwide technical resources, large underwriting capacity, and an entrepreneurial spirit. The Assistant Underwriter evaluates prospects’ risk profiles by collecting, organizing, and entering data. The role analyzes exposures and experience to accept or reject new business and prepares submissions for pricing. Overtime and weekend work may be needed during cyclical increases in workload.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree, though experience may substitute for a degree on a year-by-year basis.
• Proficient mathematical ability, especially with decimals and percentages.
• Ability to analyze data and make decisions in a high-volume environment.
• Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed during cyclical increases in workload.

Responsibilities
