About The Position
Provides support to laboratory operations by assisting with pre-analytical and post-analytical processes that contribute to optimal patient outcomes. The role is responsible for assigned shifts and may require overtime and call back. Other duties may be assigned.
Requirements
- Basic computer literacy.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in standard English, in writing and verbally, to achieve productivity and efficiency.
- Ability to write legibly and record information accurately as needed to perform job duties.
Nice To Haves
- Hospital accessioning experience.
- Training in a hospital or clinic setting involving specimen accessioning.
Responsibilities
- Assess and maintain specimen quality.
- Communicate with patients and customers.
- Assess specimens.
- Perform urine drug screen collections and industrial screening as required.
- Support lifelong learning.
- Complete assigned goals.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
