About The Position

Corrosion Service Teams (CSTs) provide organizational level Corrosion Prevention and Control (CPAC) services defined by Marine Corps Technical Manual 4795-OR/1A and associated USMC CPAC policies and procedures. The CST Enhanced Corrosion Service (ECST) Assistant Team Lead (ATL) ensures the production of the ECST Team and complies with quality standards as defined by Marine Corps Technical Manual 4795-OR/1A, organizational policies, and procedures. The job description of an ECST ATL ensures products and services meet the established standards set by the Marine Corps and the contracted company. The ECST ATL also trains and works with personnel assigned to the ECST team, works with customers, collaborates with the ECST Team Lead, the Corrosion Service Team (CST) Lead and the Field Service Representative (FSR), using effective communication skills, and exercising strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Possess (18) months of demonstrated experience with the CST and (1) year demonstrated experience with the ECST.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures the production of the ECST Team and complies with quality standards.
  • Ensures products and services meet established standards.
  • Trains and works with personnel assigned to the ECST team.
  • Works with customers.
  • Collaborates with the ECST Team Lead, the CST Lead and the FSR.
  • Maintains strong quality control of ECST production adhering to reliability, performance, and customer expectation.
  • Inspects products and reports/documents findings.
  • Oversees the production process, looking for erroneous methods or application of coatings.
  • Observes production for visible defects.
  • Performs various tests to check for durability of the product and other desirable characteristics.
  • Records findings and prepares reports.
  • Accepts or rejects assets produced.
  • Participates in the implementation of quality control programs.
  • Prepares quality guidelines.
  • Performs other assigned duties including training and collaborating to establish and/or maintain a production schedule.
  • Reviews and understands all Marine Corps Orders, technical manuals, and policies involving Corrosion Prevention and Control.
  • Inspects, assesses, validates, verifies, and documents corrosion category code III, IV, and V equipment.
  • Conducts on-the-spot training to ensure proper classification of corrosion category codes.
  • Inspects application equipment to identify faults.
  • Ensures the uniformity of ECST team member appearance and the wear of clothing provided by employer.
  • Enforces compliance of all safety procedures to include personal protective equipment and environmental regulations.
  • Periodically inspects required publications to ensure the most current and up to date references are maintained and available.
  • Records findings, completes project documentation, and submits reports as directed.
  • Maintains Material Safety Data Sheets for all products used by the ECST team.
  • Conducts and maintains monthly inventory of accountable items assigned to the ECST and requisitions items as necessary.
  • Conducts and maintains a biweekly inventory of required hazardous materials and requisitions items as necessary.
  • Ensures all accountable items are clean and operational.
  • Manages, conducts, and tracks ECST team weekly, monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual training.
  • Performs routine maintenance of CPAC equipment.
  • Travels as required to perform the duties of the position.
  • Collaborates and coordinates with the ECST Lead and CST Lead to identify and correct assigned personnel issues, as necessary.
  • Holds or is capable of passing a background check to receive identification credentials through the Defense Biometric Identification System.
