The Corrosion Control Specialist performs aircraft corrosion control to include washing, cleaning, corrosion detection, corrosion removal, metal treatment, and touch up painting. Assist in the preparation of the aircraft and/or components for complete repaint. This role involves preserving and de-preserving aircraft, completing maintenance forms, and using various tools for corrosion prevention and painting. The specialist will also provide technical assistance and training to junior personnel, ensure proper documentation of aircraft parts, and comply with all safety and quality standards. Recommendations for improving productivity and cost reduction are also part of the role, as is operating firefighting equipment and complying with various programs like Safety, FOD, Hazardous Communications, Corrosion Control, and Tool Control. The position also includes maintaining the Emergency Reclamation locker and performing duties as an emergency reclamation member.
