About The Position

Miami University (Oxford, OH) is announcing a search for an Assistant Teaching Professor to teach undergraduate and graduate courses beginning Fall Semester 2027. Responsibilities include teaching sport leadership and management courses; advising students; and providing professional service to the department, college, and institution. This is an on-campus position and requires regular on-campus presence. Assistant Teaching Professor positions are eligible for promotion to Associate and Full rank with 1-year, 3-year, and 5-year contracts, respectively, but are non-tenure eligible.

Requirements

• A doctorate in Sport Leadership, Sport Management, Sport Administration, or closely-related field required by date of appointment.

Nice To Haves

• Evidence of high-quality instruction
• Experience teaching sport management courses at the college level including, but not limited to, classes such as Sport Marketing, Sport Administration, Facilities and Event Management, Sport Ethics, or Sport Analytics.
