Assistant Teaching Professor in Construction Management
About The Position
The Department of Marketing, Sports Business & Construction Management in the Haile College of Business at Northern Kentucky University invites applications for a non-tenure-track, full-time Assistant Teaching Professor, to begin Spring 2027 (Fall 2027 considered). The successful candidate will develop course material aligned with ACCE accreditation standards, teach a full undergraduate load of eight sections annually, contribute to service commitments, participate in construction management industry advisory board meetings, attend employment/career fairs, and support the recruitment of students and potential future colleagues. Active involvement in the life of the College and the university – including attendance at program, department, and college meetings – and continued involvement in the construction industry outside the university are expected.
Requirements
- Hold a Master’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a closely related field at the time of appointment
- Candidates with an undergraduate degree in Construction Management and a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) will also be considered
- At least 10 years of direct experience in the construction industry
- Able to develop course material aligned with accreditation standards
