About The Position

The Faculty of Engineering at the University of Alberta invites applications for a full-time Assistant Teaching Professor for a 3-year term with the possibility of renewal. The Faculty of Engineering provides state-of-the-art instructional facilities and a collaborative community dedicated to delivering an exceptional student experience. The successful candidate will contribute to the Faculty’s teaching mission by delivering high-quality undergraduate instruction, advancing the field of engineering education, and supporting student learning within engineering programs.

Requirements

  • Current Academic Teaching Staff are first notified of available positions and will receive first consideration in accordance with the terms of the Academic Teaching Staff Agreement before considering external candidates for positions with a term 8 months or longer.

Responsibilities

  • Instructing undergraduate and graduate Environmental Engineering courses throughout the academic year.
  • Working with other faculty members to improve course content, resources, and delivery.
  • Delivery of undergraduate and graduate courses in other specialties will be considered based on Department need and candidate experience.
