About The Position

The Goddard School locations in Jenks and Bixby, Oklahoma, are seeking motivated and caring Assistant Teachers who are passionate about education and working with children of all ages. Assistant Teachers support the Lead Teacher with engaging programs, classroom management, and maintaining a safe, stimulating learning environment. The role involves helping children develop through active engagement and positive interactions, while contributing to a nurturing, clean, and welcoming classroom. Requirements

High school diploma required.
Previous experience working with young children in a licensed childcare or preschool setting.
Empathy and compassion for young children.
Ability to work productively without supervision.
Basic understanding of child development.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. in connection with handling children.
Must pass required state background checks and meet state minimum education, experience, and credential requirements.

Nice To Haves

Associate degree in Early Childhood Education preferred.

Responsibilities

Assist the Lead Teacher in implementing age-appropriate lesson plans.
Support children’s social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development through active engagement and positive interactions.
Prepare classroom materials and maintain a safe, clean, and inviting learning environment.
Supervise children, provide individualized support, and foster a sense of belonging.
Assist in communicating with families about children’s progress and daily activities.
Follow health and safety guidelines and licensing regulations.
Support daily care routines and tasks.
