About The Position

The Goddard School in Beverly Hills, Michigan, is hiring Assistant Teachers to work with infants, toddlers, or preschoolers in a full-day childcare and preschool environment. The school aims to provide a safe, dynamic, and nurturing setting where children can grow into joyful, confident learners. Teachers work in clean, state-of-the-art facilities with health and safety protocols, collaborate with colleagues to create engaging curriculum based on children’s interests, plan activities, and communicate daily with parents about children’s experiences and achievements. The role offers support from experienced directors and opportunities to develop teaching skills in early childhood education. This is a full-time position, with shifts of nine hours including a one-hour break, such as 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. or 8:30 a.m.–5:30 p.m. Part-time shifts are also available and require availability until 6:00 p.m. Full-time positions are 40 hours per week. The school is closed between Christmas Eve and New Year’s Day, and there are no evening or weekend hours.

Responsibilities

Work with infants, toddlers, or preschoolers in a full-day childcare and preschool environment.
Plan activities that foster children’s discovery, learning, and development.
Observe children’s interests and collaborate with other teachers to develop creative, engaging curriculum.
Communicate with parents daily about children’s activities, experiences, and achievements, using mobile apps and personal discussions.
Collaborate with fellow early childhood educators and continue developing skills in the field.
