About The Position

This is a child care center role focused on helping children become lifelong learners. Assistant Teachers support children’s daily care and learning, help maintain a fun, interactive, clean, and organized classroom, and follow licensing guidelines and company standards. They develop skills in observing, assessing, and planning for children, and communicating effectively with families. The role includes extensive training on childcare, preschool, and child development topics. Compensation is based on position, education, and experience; the listed Assistant Teacher range is $15.00–$17.50.

Requirements

• Ability to meet state and/or accreditation requirements for education and experience.
• Ability to work indoors or outdoors and engage in physical activity with children.
• Energetic and dependable, with a passion for working with children.

Responsibilities

• Follow all licensing guidelines and company standards to ensure the daily care of every child.
• Maintain a fun, interactive classroom that is clean and organized.
• Develop the ability to accurately observe, assess, and plan for children.
• Communicate effectively with families.
• Complete training on childcare, preschool, and child development topics.
• Engage in physical activity with children indoors or outdoors.
