About The Position

The Goddard School is seeking a Pre-K Assistant Teacher to help provide a safe, dynamic, and nurturing learning environment where children can develop into joyful and confident learners. The assistant teacher supports children’s social and emotional development, builds positive relationships with families, and works alongside the lead teacher and the wider faculty. The role is scheduled from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM, with no nights or weekends.

Requirements

High school diploma.
Empathy and compassion for young children.
Dependability and adaptability, and the ability to work collaboratively toward a common goal.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds in connection with handling children, facilitating programs, ensuring child safety, and potential emergency situations.

Nice To Haves

Associate or Bachelor of Arts degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
Experience working with children.

Responsibilities
