About The Position

Guidepost Montessori is hiring an Assistant Guide for its Oak Brook school. The Assistant Guide supports a Montessori classroom serving children from infancy through age 6, including Infant, Toddler, and Children’s House (ages 3–6) classrooms. The role helps create a calm, engaging environment where children can explore and learn at their own pace, and supports their development of independence, confidence, and a lifelong love of learning.

The Assistant Guide helps prepare intentional learning spaces and supports individualized and small-group activities with respect, patience, and care. The position also involves building relationships with children and families and collaborating with Lead Guides and other team members. Guidepost offers Montessori diploma training, professional development, mentorship, and opportunities for career growth.

Requirements

• Experience working with children ages 3–6 in a school or childcare setting.
• A positive, adaptable, and collaborative mindset.
• A genuine love for working with young children.
• Interest in learning and growing within the Montessori approach.

Nice To Haves

• Prior Montessori experience.
