About The Position

Big Blue Marble Academy is hiring an Early Child Care Assistant Teacher in Clayton for a 3:00–6:30 schedule. The role supports the Lead Teacher in facilitating daily activities and keeping the classroom running smoothly. The Assistant Teacher partners with families to nurture and care for children, uses electronic daily tracking to document milestones, and follows enhanced safety guidelines to maintain a clean and safe classroom. The academy describes a team-oriented, inclusive work community and offers on-the-job training and opportunities for career development, including advancement from Assistant Teacher to Center Director. Employment is contingent on successful completion of background checks, pre-hire screenings, and onboarding. Employment is at will.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age.
Have a high school diploma or GED.
Have demonstrated experience working with children.
Be able to stand six to eight hours daily and stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and bend while working with children.
Be able to lift a minimum of 30 pounds.
Successfully complete the required background check, pre-hire screenings, and onboarding processes.

Nice To Haves

Child care, daycare, or preschool experience is preferred.
Early childhood coursework, a CDA, or a degree is preferred.

Responsibilities
