About The Position

The Assistant Teacher, referred to in the posting as an Assistant Guide, supports a mixed-age Montessori classroom serving children from infancy through age 6, including Infant, Toddler, and Children’s House classrooms for ages 3–6. The role helps create a calm, engaging environment where children can explore, learn, and grow at their own pace. The Assistant Guide helps prepare intentional learning spaces and supports individualized and small-group activities with respect, patience, and care, while helping children develop confidence and independence.

Requirements

• Experience working with children ages 3–6 in a school or childcare setting.
• A positive, adaptable, and collaborative mindset.
• A genuine love for working with young children.
• Interest in learning and growing within the Montessori approach; prior Montessori experience is welcome but not required.
