The Learning Experience – Grand Rapids Cascade is looking for an enthusiastic and dependable Assistant Teacher to support our early childhood classrooms. Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Must meet Michigan childcare licensing requirements

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience working in daycare, preschool, childcare, or early childhood education preferred
• CDA or ECE coursework is a plus
• Reliable, energetic, patient, and comfortable working as part of a team

Responsibilities

• Assist Lead Teachers with classroom activities, routines, and transitions
• Engage children in play-based learning, art, music, sensory activities, and outdoor experiences
• Support children's language, social-emotional, physical, and cognitive development
• Assist with meals, diapering/toileting, rest time, and other daily care routines
• Provide attentive supervision and positive guidance
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment
• Build warm relationships with children and families
• Work collaboratively with teachers and center leadership
• Follow Michigan childcare licensing requirements
