Afternoon Assistant Teacher, Montessori Unlimited of Katy
About The Position
Every classroom is a community with a team of educators collaborating to provide an authentic experience to the children. The Assistant Teacher supports the Montessori Guide or Lead Teacher in all classroom areas. As an Assistant Teacher, you’ll always be caring by following all licensing guidelines, school, and company standards to ensure the daily care of every child. You’ll always be inspiring by working with a Montessori Guide or Lead Teacher to facilitate fun and interactive learning experiences in an authentic Montessori classroom. You’ll always be engaged by developing your ability to accurately observe, assess, and plan activities for children, as well as effectively communicate with families under the guidance of your lead teacher/guide. You’ll always be learning by completing extensive training that provides insight on child care and development topics.
Requirements
- At least 18 years of age.
- Experience in a licensed child care center, Montessori school, or related field.
- Completed a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Met state requirements for education; additional school requirements may apply.
Nice To Haves
- Montessori training, certification, or experience preferred.
