About The Position
The Assistant Teacher supports the daily care and learning of children at a child care center. The role includes following licensing guidelines and company standards, maintaining a fun and interactive classroom that is clean and organized, and developing skills in observing, assessing, and planning for children. Assistant Teachers also communicate with families and complete extensive training on childcare, preschool, and child development topics. The position requires working indoors or outdoors and engaging in physical activity with children. Compensation is based on position, education, and experience; the listed Assistant Teacher rate is $19.02–$19.76, with bi-weekly and daily pay options. The work week is Monday through Friday.
Requirements
- Ability to meet state and/or accreditation requirements for education and experience.
- Ability to work indoors or outdoors and engage in physical activity with children.
- Energetic and dependable, with a passion for working with children.
