About The Position

Bright Horizons is hiring an Assistant Teacher to support children’s learning and development in an early education or preschool child care center. The role involves providing supervision, care, and curriculum delivery in accordance with Bright Horizons’ policies and guidance and applicable laws and regulations. Positions are available full-time and part-time with infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. The employee will work in person and help ensure children’s safety and well-being.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old and have a high school diploma or GED.
• Must pass required state and company background checks and meet applicable state and company minimum education and experience requirements.
• Must comply with applicable immunization, employment physical or screening, and health and safety training requirements.
• Must meet the physical requirements of the role, including frequently lifting, carrying, or holding children weighing 10 to 40 pounds and occasionally handling more than 40 pounds; demonstrating a full range of motion; and maintaining alertness and energy to perform essential duties.

Nice To Haves

• One year of experience working in child care, daycare, or preschool settings is preferred.
• A CDA, associate degree, or bachelor’s degree in early education or a related field is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with hands-on activities to meet the needs and interests of children.
• Maintain open communication with parents and share their child's daily milestones.
• Maintain a safe and clean classroom by following essential procedures and guidelines.
• Provide supervision, care, and curriculum delivery in accordance with Bright Horizons’ policies, procedures, and guidance.
• Respond immediately and appropriately to multiple or unexpected situations or emergencies.
