About The Position
La Petite Academy is hiring an Assistant Teacher to help provide daily care and support children’s learning at its Savannah Drive child care center. The role involves following licensing guidelines and company standards, maintaining a fun, interactive, clean, and organized classroom, and developing skills in observing and assessing children, planning for their needs, and communicating with families. The assistant teacher will complete extensive training on childcare, preschool, and child development.
Requirements
- Ability to meet state and/or accreditation requirements for education and experience.
- Energetic and dependable, with a passion for working with children.
- Ability to work indoors or outdoors and engage in physical activity with children.
Responsibilities
- Follow all licensing guidelines and company standards to ensure the daily care of every child.
- Maintain a fun, interactive classroom that is clean and organized.
- Develop the ability to accurately observe and assess children and plan for them.
- Communicate effectively with families.
