About The Position

The Assistant Teacher supports the daily care and learning of children at a child care center. The role includes following licensing guidelines and company standards, maintaining a fun, interactive, clean, and organized classroom, developing skills in observing and assessing children and planning for their needs, and communicating effectively with families. Assistant Teachers complete extensive training on childcare, preschool, and child development topics.

Requirements

• Ability to meet state and/or accreditation requirements for education and experience.
• Ability to work indoors or outdoors and engage in physical activity with children.
• Energetic and dependable, with a passion for working with children.

Responsibilities

• Follow licensing guidelines and company standards to ensure the daily care of every child.
• Maintain a fun, interactive classroom that is clean and organized.
• Develop the ability to accurately observe and assess children and plan for them.
