About The Position
Assistant Teachers at KinderCare Learning Companies support children and their education every day. They implement KinderCare’s curriculum to meet each child’s unique needs and create safe, nurturing classrooms where children can play and learn. They partner with parents to provide care and education, contribute to center goals, and build positive relationships with families, colleagues, licensing authorities, community contacts, and corporate partners. The listed hourly pay range is $15.75–$15.75. Illinois center employees at sites participating in the Illinois Smart Start Workforce Grant receive an additional 15% premium. The role is at the Elk Grove Village KinderCare location.
Requirements
- Meet state-specific qualifications for the role.
- Obtain or be willing to obtain CPR and First Aid Certification.
- Have outstanding customer service skills and strong organizational skills.
- Be able to multitask and handle multiple situations effectively.
- Be physically able to lift a minimum of 40 pounds and work indoors or outdoors.
- Be able to assume postures at low levels to allow physical and visual contact with children, see and hear well enough to keep children safe, and engage in physical activity with children.
- Read, write, understand, and speak English to communicate with children and their parents.

- Partner and connect with parents to provide the best care and education for their children.
- Partner with center staff and leadership to achieve goals around enrollment, accreditation, and engagement.
- Cultivate positive relationships with families, teachers, state licensing authorities, community contacts, and corporate partners.
