About The Position

Guidepost Montessori is hiring an Assistant Guide for its Plum Canyon school. The role supports a mixed-age Montessori classroom serving infants, toddlers, and children ages 3–6. The Assistant Guide helps create a calm, engaging environment where children can explore, learn, and grow at their own pace. This includes preparing intentional learning spaces and supporting individualized and small-group activities with respect, patience, and care. The position also helps children develop confidence and independence and supports a welcoming classroom community.

Requirements

• Experience working with children ages 3–6 in a school or childcare setting.
• A positive, adaptable, and collaborative mindset.
• A genuine love for working with young children.
• Interest in learning and growing within the Montessori approach.

Nice To Haves

• Prior Montessori experience is welcome but not required.

Responsibilities

• Observe children closely to understand and support their individual needs.
• Help prepare and maintain a beautiful, orderly classroom environment.
• Support individual and small-group learning activities.
