About The Position

The Malvern School is seeking a motivated, career-oriented Assistant Teacher for the Get Set classroom at its Medford school. This full-time position runs Monday through Friday. The teacher assists with implementing the school’s Early Childhood Education program in accordance with school policies and philosophy, maintains a safe, healthy, and educational classroom environment, and communicates regularly with parents in person and through technology. The school emphasizes innovative, child-centered programming, teamwork, professional development, and career advancement.

Requirements

• High school diploma.
• At least 18 years of age.
• At least 2,500 hours (1 year and 4 months) of documented experience with young children in a licensed facility; or 15 relevant college credits (or a CDA) and at least 1,250 hours (8 months) of documented experience with young children in a licensed facility.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing the Early Childhood Education program in accordance with school policies and the Malvern School philosophy.
• Maintain a safe, healthy, and educational environment for the class.
• Communicate regularly with parents, in person and through technology, meeting or exceeding their expectations.
