About The Position

The Assistant Teacher helps provide daily care for children in a child care center while supporting an engaging, clean, and organized classroom. The role includes following licensing guidelines and company standards, developing skills in observing and assessing children and planning for their needs, and communicating effectively with families. The position also includes completing extensive training in childcare, preschool, and child development. The work week is Monday through Friday, and the role may involve working indoors or outdoors and engaging in physical activity with children.

Requirements

• Ability to meet state and/or accreditation requirements for education and experience.
• Ability to work indoors or outdoors and engage in physical activity with children.
• Energetic, dependable, and passionate about working with children.

Responsibilities

• Follow licensing guidelines and company standards to ensure the daily care of every child.
• Maintain a fun, interactive classroom that is clean and organized.
• Develop the ability to accurately observe and assess children and plan for them.
• Communicate effectively with families.
• Complete training on childcare, preschool, and child development topics.
• Engage in physical activity with children indoors or outdoors.
