About The Position
Assistant Teachers at KinderCare support children’s learning and development by implementing KinderCare’s curriculum in ways that address each child’s unique needs. They create safe, nurturing environments for children to play and learn, partner with parents to provide high-quality care and education, and work with center staff and leadership to support goals related to enrollment, accreditation, and engagement. The role also involves building positive relationships with families, teachers, state licensing authorities, community contacts, and corporate partners. The position is at Oak Park Ave. KinderCare. The posted pay is $15.65 per hour. In Illinois, hourly employees at centers participating in the Illinois Smart Start Workforce Grant receive an additional 15% premium.
Requirements
- Outstanding customer service skills.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask and handle multiple situations effectively.
- Meet state-specific qualifications for the role.
- Have or be willing to obtain CPR and First Aid Certification.
- Ability to lift at least 40 pounds and work indoors or outdoors.
- Ability to assume low-level postures to allow physical and visual contact with children.
- Ability to see and hear well enough to keep children safe.
- Ability to read, write, understand, and speak English to communicate with children and their parents.
