About The Position

The Malvern School is seeking a full-time Assistant Teacher to float between classrooms at its West Norriton, Pennsylvania school. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

The Assistant Teacher helps implement a high-quality early childhood education program in accordance with school policies and the Malvern School philosophy. The role supports a safe, healthy, and educational classroom environment and includes regular communication with parents, both in person and through technology, to meet or exceed their expectations.

Requirements

• High school diploma.
• At least 18 years of age.
• Either at least 2,500 hours of documented experience with young children in a licensed facility, or 15 relevant college credits (or a CDA) and at least 1,250 hours of documented experience with young children in a licensed facility.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing the early childhood education program in accordance with school policies and the Malvern School philosophy.
• Maintain a safe, healthy, and educational environment for the class.
• Communicate regularly with parents in person and through technology, meeting or exceeding parent expectations.
• Float between classrooms.
